Arsenal are now set to offer Ikay Gundogan a two-years deal with an increase in salary- His Manchester City chapter is all but finally closed

Gundogan is out of contract at the end of the month, when he can leave the Etihad on a free transfer, and has been approached by a number of clubs – with his agent free to speak to foreign sides since the turn of the year.

The 32-year-old was thought to be close to joining Barcelona, while Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta has also made a late play to try and lure the German to north London.
